Thunderbird 2 pod.

For Thunderbirds 2065 there was a scene showing Thunderbird 2 dropping fire retardant bombs.

I had to build the lower part of the pod matching as close as I could to the original model.

All we had were a few screen grabs for reference and so could recognize a few parts to match and get an approximate size.

The rest I could make up as it was a new device, a rig holding and then dropping fire retardant bombs.

The bombs were standard kit bashing as would have been done in the day.

None of us know how the original doors were opened and so we assumed that it was a person either side sliding them open, which is how we did it. This is it being set up to film.

The drop was a simple frame made out of wood with cables pulling pins out of the bomb cradle to drop them on queue.

The bombs fully extended ready to drop.
